A Tip & The Neighborhood Bully

A tip
I've been on track for 4 days.. wahoo!! And part of that staying on track is making sure that I eat breakfast (and make it at home - it's just healthier that way). This morning, I was making my usual four point ham/egg/cheese sandwich... Bread in the toaster. Cooking spray in the pan. Egg in the pan. Then I waited. And waited. And began to wonder after a few minutes why my egg was not cooking. Probably would have helped if the stove was ON.

Yes, I'm fantastic.

The other part of staying on track has been exercise, daily exercise, which means walking the Boxer. We were enjoying a nice brisk walk in the cool April air last night when I heard growls and barking. The next thing I knew a dog twice Polly's size was charging at me and her. I don't know if I have mommy instincts or not but I ended up getting between the two dogs. It felt like forever... the dog kept circling me trying to get at Polly. Polly was scared and kept trying to hide behind me! She's so friendly and especially loves to play with the big dogs... I don't think she's come across a mean one yet.. until last night. That dog actually nipped at Polly's behind! The owner came rushing over, apologizing over and over and explaining that she got loose from her.. but geez lady... get a handle on Brutus especially since you SAW us walking by. Thankfully in spite of my stupidity (who gets between two dogs??) we're both ok...

Not turning the stove on, too funny! I will do the exact opposite and walk away and forget it's there...Duke loves when I do that, cause he gets the crispy egg lol.

*hugs* thanks for the well wishes.

I did that once with my dog when I lived away. They know when they're being approached by a meanie and I was yelling and screaming trying to establish some sort of alpha rights and the owner was sauntering down the alleyway leash swinging in hand. I gave that man one dirty look - I'm sure he's still trembling today. Stupid people should know they have agressive dogs and keep better control. Poor Polly.

Poo Polly! I would have done the exact same thing! I hope that owner doesn't let it happen again, and that you made a mental note of the dog, owner and where they live, just in case you need to report the owner, which I totally would do.

As for the breakfast incident. Been there many times. LOL
